Service Description:  Community Health Education staff work in the schools and community to provide
health education on subject areas, including but not limited to:  HIV education, tobacco prevention, cancer
screening, injury prevention, behavioral health, etc.  Health education information is presented in a variety
of methods such as obtaining qualified health professionals to present information, public service
announcements on the radio, articles published in the news media, health brochures, cartoons, posters,
and one-to-one counseling. 

Other Services Offered by this program:  Promoting opportunities for Tribal members to enter the health
professions and learn about health careers is also within the scope of the program.

Program Events:  Wellness Conference, Youth Wellness Fair and Annual Health Fair
