The Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate Department of Transportation has updated the Tribe’s Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) and is soliciting public comments on the final draft.  The 30-day public comment period will end on November 30, 2019.
The purpose of the LRTP is to clearly demonstrate the Tribe’s transportation needs and to develop strategies to meet these needs.  These strategies should address future land use, economic development, traffic demand, public safety, and health and social needs.
The Executive Summary can be viewed here, and the full LRTP draft can be reviewed at the SWO-DOT office at the SWO Tribal Administration Building, located at 12554 BIA Hwy 711, Agency, Village, SD.
